A default judgment is a judgment that is netered against someone that fails to answer a lawsuit.  A Judgment is the final document in a lawsuit which states who won and if any money is awarded, the amount.  If money is awarded, it gives that party the legal right to collect the money.

2.  You should deliver a copy of the lawsuit to any insurance companies insuring you, whether it is homeowners, automobile, commercial, liability, or other insurance as you may have a policy that provides coverage or arguably provides some or complete coverage for the claims against you in the lawsuit.

4.  If do have insurance, and you insurer send you a "reservation of rights" letter, you have the right to employ the attorney of your choosing and the insurer will have to pay the attorney's fees. If your insurer refuses to indemnify you, that is agree to pay your attorneys fees and defend you and cover any potential liability against you, then you should seek the advice of an attorney as the claims may be covered despite your insurance companies position and you may have a lawsuit against your insurer that provides for money damages and/or a order from the Court declaring that they do have a duty to indemnify you.  A reservation of rights letter is a letter sent by your insurer whereby they reserve the right to withdraw from paying your attorney's fees, providing you a defense, or agreeing to pay any liability on your behalf because they later may discover additional facts or they later determine the claims being made are not covered by your insurance policy.
