Insurance Lawyers-Where Do There Loyalties Rest?
A lawyer that is either "captive counsel" (is a salaried lawyer for only that insurance company) or routinely hired by that insurance company has a relationship and agreements with the company and the adjusters including how much they will be paid, vacation, hours of work, reprots to file, etc. the lawyer's continued work from that insurance company depends on his or her performance. Where do you think the lawyers' loyalties really lie, with the one time client or the insurance company that "butters her/his bread?"
